Hill and Barack - China!

Mrs. Clinton vowed to use the World Trade Organization to settle trade disputes, create a new intellectual property enforcement arm, and on China, to address currency manipulation and provide federal relief to manufacturers hurt by Chinese imports.

This is interesting in light of the tsunami of trade agreements and influx of trade products in to the US during the Clinton administration. Now she is concerned. In 1993, Bill wasn't and apparently she was not either.

Mr. Obama talked about his roots working with steelworkers as a Chicago community organizer and plans to pressure China to regulate its currency. "America and the world can benefit from trade with China. But trade with China will only be good for you if China itself plays by the rules and acts as a positive force for balanced world growth," he said.

Please consider this quote. It is not much different than saying - Russia must obey the laws and respect human rights or we will review all issues, and then sign new agreements anyway.

He assumes China is not playing by the rules and what are the rules? Rules established by trade agreements first set up under the Clinton administration to open the US up. And the question of - positive force for world growth???????????? What the heck does that mean.

There he goes masticating word meaning and confusing readers along the way.
