Zero Tolerance

If we want a no tolerance policy on anything - this is one of those areas.  Branding these women, like cattle.  The law should account for this - say 10 years minimum for the very act of having branded another human.  5 years minimum for using her for the sex trade.  5 years minimum for anyone in a gang.  20 years sounds good.  They can learn the sex trade up close - in prison.  Between 14,000 and 17,000 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year, according to a 2005 report from the U.S. State Department.  This must be stopped.  We must make the laws so aggressive as to reduce the incentive.  And then we must seek out these vultures and put them in prison with the other vultures.  This is a blight, a shame upon the United States.

Gangs join forces to prostitute women

Each day, a woman we'll call Jessica, spent hours on the internet posting provocative photos of herself and fishing for clients who would pay her to have sex.

Jessica worked as a prostitute in the booming internet sex trade. But she didn't work for herself. She says she had a pimp who set a quota of $1,000 a day – money that took about 10 dates to earn.

Jessica told me she was afraid of her pimp who is a gang member. If she didn't work, she didn't eat, saying she once went 5 days without food.

Two years ago, when she was a 19-year-old runaway, she says she became the physical property of a California gang, where prostitutes, many of them under age, are often branded with tattoos bearing gang insignias or their pimps' name.

Lt. Valencia Saadat with the Oceanside, California Police Department says law enforcement is beginning to look at prostitutes as potential victims of sex trafficking.

Three warring gang factions in Oceanside laid down their weapons to form what investigators say is a profitable business enterprise to traffic and prostitute women and girls throughout California.

Nigerian Baby Makers - Make me a Baby as Fast as You Can ...

I totally understand why we need to treat all people the same, all cultures, all values.

Totally.

Also - fails to mention something we should keep in mind.

Nigeria had two presidents, one died and they had an election and now Goodluck is president.  One reason why Goodluck and the now dead guy shared power was ..... [think jeopardy timer] ...

And then we have the missing piece!

Nigerian 'baby factory' raided, 32 teenage girls freed

Wed Jun 1, 10:32 am ET

LAGOS (AFP) – Nigerian police have raided a home allegedly being used to force teenage girls to have babies that were then offered for sale for trafficking or other purposes, authorities said on Wednesday.

"We stormed the premises of the Cross Foundation in Aba three days ago following a report that pregnant girls aged between 15 and 17 are being made to make babies for the proprietor," said Bala Hassan, police commissioner for Abia state in the country's southeast.

"We rescued 32 pregnant girls and arrested the proprietor who is undergoing interrogation over allegations that he normally sells the babies to people who may use them for rituals or other purposes."

Some of the girls told police they had been offered to sell their babies for between 25,000 and 30,000 naira (192 dollars) depending on the sex of the baby.

The babies would then be sold to buyers for anything from 300,000 naira to one million naira (1,920 and 6,400 dollars) each, according to a state agency fighting human trafficking in Nigeria, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

The girls were expected to be transferred to the regional NAPTIP offices in Enugu on Wednesday, the regional head Ijeoma Okoronkwo told AFP.

Hassan said the owner of the "illegal baby factory" is likely to face child abuse and human trafficking charges. Buying or selling of babies is illegal in Nigeria and can carry a 14-year jail term.

"We have so many cases going on in court right now," said Okoronkwo.

In 2008, police raids revealed an alleged network of such clinics, dubbed baby "farms" or "factories" in the local press.

Cases of child abuse and people trafficking are common in West Africa. Some children are bought from their families to for use as labour in plantations, mines, factories or as domestic help.

Others are sold into prostitution while a few are either killed or tortured in black magic rituals. NAPTIP says it has also seen a trend of illegal adoption.

"There is a problem of illict adoption and people not knowing the right way to adopt children," said Okoronkwo.

Human trafficking is ranked the third most common crime after economic fraud and drug trafficking in the country, according to UNESCO.

China and AIDS

I post this, not to pick on China, though they deserve it, but that women, and men everywhere, exposed to AIDS, still have sex with countless people each day or week, without any concern.  It is wrong on so many levels.

Girl has AIDS exposing 279 Sex Contacts

October 17th, 2009

[Netease] Recently, a woman named Yan Deli (闫德利) claiming to be from Rongcheng Country, Hebei Province, in her blog exposed 279 phone numbers which belonged to the guys she had had sex with in the past. She also claimed that she has gotten AIDS. This news caused a great stir on the Internet, so called “sexual contact numbers” spread throughout the Chinese forums. In order to confirm the claims made by Yan Deli were true, reporter contacted these numbers, many people said this was an “intentional revenge”.

“My hometown is in Rongcheng county, Hebei Provice… my family lived in poverty every since I was little, parents were suffering from serious diseases.” Yan Deli wrote in her blog, she did not attend school and started roaming the streets at the age of less than 10. Reporter searched her ID card number and indeed it was registered at Rongcheng County, Hebei Province.

According to Yan Deli, in order to survive, she was forced to work as a sex worker (小姐) in a “barber shop” in Beijing. Facing dozens of stranger men every day, she did things that she did not want to do. “When I had some savings and wanted to quit, I already got AIDS.”

“Now my life has been ruined, I want fame out of this ruined life!”Yan Deli published this “declaration” in her blog. One day later she compiled a “sexual contact list”, total of 279 phone numbers. The day before yesterday she also posted number of naked photos. Before early September, she was diagnosed with AIDS, in order to prove the authenticity of the blog, Yan Deli also posted her family portrait.

Reporter learned that most of these numbers were located in Beijing, Baoding, Shijiazhuang, as well as Guangdong and other southern provinces. Yan Deli said that this was only a portion of the men she serviced, most of them probably were already infected.

“13770301xxx” is the only number in Nanjing. Last night reporter tried to contact the owner, but was told the number was already terminated.

Reporter randomly dialed couple numbers, “I had already left Beijing for quite some time now.” Mr. Chen from Shijiazhuang was surprised, “I was a worker installing heaters. I don’t remember leaving my cell phone number in Beijing.” “Not going to press charges for publishing my phone number” Pressed by the reporter, Mr. Chen said that he would respond only after he has better understanding of the situation.

There was another businessman in Beijing, Netizens “human fleshed” out his company office based on the phone number. Another man whose number was on the list from Baoding was very angry “Bull shit, I never contacted these people.”

After calling hundreds of these numbers, reporter found that 80 percent of them were already terminated or had no answer. The people who answered the calls were all unaware of this, some of these phone numbers were owned by women.

Since 10 pm last night, Yan’s blog has been blocked. Reporter saw nearly 400 sexy photos and sex videos on her QQ space.

“I do not regret it. These pious men are my playthings.” Yan Deli said she indeed is seeking revenge. “Cannot let them live so carefree, I am very proud of my choices.”

As for the intention of releasing the phone numbers, Yan Deli said frankly “I still give my AIDS to different men every day.”

“This is simply a internet revenge, we inadvertently became the victims.” A netizen who was on the list of contact cried out. Other netizens also indicated that after virus invades the human body, does not mean “you days are numbered now”, must goes through the window period and the asymptomatic period, until the syndromes appears, then can be called AIDS.

“AIDS girl” exposing hundreds of sexual contact numbers received death threats

“Everyday hundreds and thousands of people ask me about the truth, I don’t have time to respond one by one.” After knowing the identity of the reporter, Yan Deli voluntarily wanted to have a talk. “Every day I publicize myself on hundreds of websites and forums. This is a huge amount of work.”

The report of “AIDS girl exposing hundreds of sexual contacts”, triggered netizens heated discussion. Yesterday, reporter contacted Yan Deli, she said that she received many death threats.

Yan Deli revealed to reporter, she wanted to use this to find her fiancé who left her 3 month ago.

“I have already planned to leave Beijing.” Yan Deli told reporter that at the day when she exposed the phone numbers, many people called her and threatened to “put her away”.

According to Yan, the night before last night there were several strange men in her residence in Beijing blocked outside the whole night. Currently, Yan Deli has moved to her friend’s house temporarily.

“As I said in my blog, 279 is only a part.” As to the list she exposed, Yan Deli said they were mostly northerners, in the next few weeks she will expose more phone numbers.

Yan Deli said she planned to leave Beijing and maybe choose to live in Hebei province.

“In my blog I said I am very proud, and do not regret, in fact they were all lies.” After some conversation, Yan Deli once again talked about her personal life, “I am just lying to myself, suffering from AIDS, I already lost all hopes.”

Yan Deli said that her stepfather was a person only cared about his personal gains. Because he valued her beauty, he only wanted her to be a sex worker (小姐). Yan’s family was not starving, it’s only that stepfather would not give her a dime, couple of times she was sent to the “barber shop” in Beijing streets.

“I have to give him money every month”. Yan Deli’s work outside was always kept from her mother, “She was the only a few people who I want to say sorry to, I don’t want to hurt her.”

Yan Deli’s series of crazy actions on the internet, “I wanted revenge on all the people, among them, my stepfather is the one I hate the most.” Yan Deli said one of the phone numbers she released was her stepfathers but it was already terminated.

In order to prove what she said was true, Yan Deli sent a photo of her stepfather’s family. Reporter indentified the two women in the picture were Yan Deli had her birth mother.

Conversation lasted nearly an hour. Yan Deli sent a 5 minutes long video to the reporter. The video recorded the entire process of Yan and a young man being intimate in a shabby hotel. This man had a Beijing accent, Yan Deli said “he is my fiancé.”

“To be honest, I did everything so that hoping he would come to me.” When talking about the man in the video, Yan Deli said they were lovers, met in a KTV (karaoke) in Beijing. After knowing each other for a period of time, the two have already talked about getting married.

“My fiancé knew I was a sex worker, but he never minded, took care of me in every possible way in life. So I was constantly deciding to leave my profession.” Yan Deli recalled.

“But in order for me to keep giving him money, my stepfather obstructed our love in every possible way. 3 month ago, stepfather invited my fiancé to his home and beat him up.” Yan Deli said, since then her fiancé and she never saw each other again.

Now Yan Deli waits on QQ every night for her fiancé to appear. “I hope he will come to find me after he sees my things online. I am already a person who is half dead, before I die, I just I want to see him once.”

Children and a Just Cause for the Death Penalty

Boy sold for sex.. aged nine months

By TOM WELLS

December 11, 2009
The Sun

A NINE-MONTH-OLD boy was among 5,000 kids abused by child sex rings in Britain last year, shock figures revealed yesterday.

The tot - thought to be one of the youngest ever child prostitution victims in the UK - was saved by social workers in Lambeth, South London.

A four-year-old girl was also helped by the same council team over fears she was being sold for sex.

Katherine Hill of The Children's Society said: "Research shows that as many as 5,000 children a year are sexually exploited in the UK - including being involved in prostitution.

"They are from a variety of backgrounds and it is important to note that there is not one 'type' of young person most likely to be involved."

The horrific cases were exposed after we carried out a Freedom of Information probe into the child vice trade.

Other victims were found in Hammersmith and Fulham Borough Council, West London, where two girls aged 14 and 15 were rescued, alongside a 14-year-old boy.

In Swindon, Wilts, social workers helped five girls in the past two years, four aged 15 and one 16-year-old.

Rescued

In Telford, Shrops, a girl of 13 was found to be at risk of suspected involvement in child prostitution.

In each case the children were placed under "child protection plans" by experts to monitor them and prevent further abuse.

But the local authorities would not reveal whether all those rescued had been taken into care.

Experts warn the true scale of UK child prostitution is not known because many victims are mistakenly recorded as "routine" sex abuse cases.

Ms Hill added: "By law a child ten or over remains criminally liable for the commission of a prostitution offence, such as loitering or soliciting.

"A fear of being prosecuted is preventing children from coming forward to seek help."

********************************************

Change the law. If this story touches the surface, the real question is how bad is it.

Arrest the people who had custody of the child, arrest anyone involved.  Bring them all to trial, let a jury decide, and then execute anyone found guilty.

I would prefer you let them serve some time in prison ONLY if they are branded on their forehead with the words - Child Rapist.

THEN, I would be willing to allow them to serve their time, or rather, serve whatever time they may have.

We, as a society have so many issues so wrong - the depth of our problems are not in that people may be un employed (get up and look for a job), uninsured (get up and go to the emergency room if you are very sick) ... it is the fact we tolerate these predators among us.  Predators why prey upon the weakest most vulnerable, most innocent, and rob us of hope.

Global Warming Causes Prostitution

Climate change pushes poor women to prostitution, dangerous work’

JOSEPH HOLANDES UBALDE, GMANews.TV
November 19, 2009 - 01:19 PM

The effects of climate change have driven women in communities in coastal areas in poor countries like the Philippines into dangerous work, and sometimes even the flesh trade, a United Nations official said.

Suneeta Mukherjee, country representative of the United Nations Food Population Fund (UNFPA), said women in the Philippines are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change in the country.

“Climate change could reduce income from farming and fishing, possibly driving some women into sex work and thereby increase HIV infection," Mukherjee said during the Wednesday launch of the UNFPA annual State of World Population Report in Pasay City.

In the Philippines, small brothels usually pop up near the coastal areas where many women perform sexual services for transient seafarers. Often, these prostitutes are ferried to bigger ships by their pimps.

Based on the UNFPA report, there are 92 million Filipinos in the country as of 2009 and that number is expected to balloon to more than 146 million in the next 40 years.

Of the 92 million Filipinos, about 60 percent are living in coastal areas and depend on the seas for livelihood, said former Environment secretary Dr. Angel Alcala.

Alcala said that “we have already exceeded the carrying capacity of our marine environment."

But as the sea’s resources are depleted due to overpopulation and overfishing, fishermen start losing their livelihood and women are forced to share the traditional role of the man in providing for the family.

Alacala, who also heads the Angelo King Center for Research and Environmental Management in Siliman University, said some women often pick out shellfish by the coastlines, which exposed to storm surges.

Women who can no longer endure this work often go out to find other jobs, while some are tempted to go into prostitution, Alcala added.

In an interview with the Inter Press News Agency, Marita Rodriguez of the Centre for Empowerment and Resource Development, Inc. said women are taking the brunt of climate change.

"Aside from their household chores and participation in fishing activity, they have to find additional sources of income like working as domestic helpers in affluent families," she said.

The UNFPA noted that the temperature in the earth’s surface has risen 0.74 degrees Celsius in the past 100 years. The 10 warmest years globally since 1880 have also been recorded in the last 13 years.

“Slower population growth, for example, would help build social resilience to climate change’s impacts and would contribute to a reduction of greenhouse gas-emissions in the future," the UNFPA report said.

The UNFPA suggested five measures to mitigate climate change and overpopulation:

•Bring a better understanding of population dynamics, gender and reproductive health to climate change and environmental discussions at all levels;

•Fully fund family planning services and contraceptive supplies within the framework of reproductive health and rights, and assure that low income is no barrier to access;

Condoms cost pennies.  They are free in many places.  Many governments offer sterilization as alterantives, some not so optional.  THAT isn't the bloody problem.

•Prioritize research and date collection to improve the understanding of gender and population dynamics in climate change mitigation and adaptation;

•Improve sex-disaggregation of date related to migration flows that are influenced by environmental factors and prepare now for increases in population movements resulting from climate change; and

•Integrate gender considerations into global efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change.

And how exactly do you make global warming appreciative of both genders?  How do you distribute the effects equally??  Are you bloody retarded.

FBI and Police: Prostitution Sweep Across the US

I feel 10-15 years is too light a sentence.

Those who prey upon children, those who trade them, those who sell them - I have no problem with death. They stole and killed the innocence of a child - once convicted, they should die. That is one thing you can never give back, like a life, once taken.

Sounds fair to me.

Civilized even.

FBI, police rescue child prostitutes around US

Feb 23, 2009
By DEVLIN BARRETT, AP

WASHINGTON - The FBI has rescued 48 suspected teenage prostitutes, some as young as 13 years old, in a nationwide sweep to remove kids from the illegal sex trade and punish their accused pimps.

Over a three-night initiative called Operation Cross Country, federal agents working with local law enforcement also arrested more than 571 suspects on a variety of federal and state prostitution-related charges, the bureau said.

The teenage prostitutes found in the investigation ranged in age from 13 to 17.

"We may not be able to return their innocence but we can remove them from this cycle of abuse and violence," said FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Meanwhile, in Memphis, Tenn., a man pleaded guilty Monday to federal civil rights charges for sex trafficking in minors. Leonard Fox faces at least 10 years in prison after admitting that he arranged for underaged girls to engage in sex for money.

"To sexually prey upon young girls in this manner for financial gain is particularly damaging to the victims and an affront to the society in which we live," said Loretta King, acting head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division.

Historically, federal authorities rarely play a role in anti-prostitution crackdowns, but the FBI is becoming more involved as it tries to rescue children caught up in the business.

"The goal is to recover kids. We consider them the child victims of prostitution," said FBI Deputy Assistant Director Daniel Roberts.

"Unfortunately, the vast majority of these kids are what they term 'throwaway kids,' with no family support, no friends. They're kids that nobody wants, they're loners. Many are runaways," Roberts said.

Most of the children are put into the custody of local child protection agencies.

Agents in cities from Miami to Chicago to Anchorage, Alaska took part in the operation.

Special Agent Melissa Morrow of the FBI's Washington office said the operation has put them on the trail of a particular 16-year-old prostitute they still haven't found.

Adult prostitutes arrested during the operation provided key tips about the girl, the agent said.
"She is currently 16 and started when she was 13. Now she is out there recruiting other juveniles as well," said Morrow, adding that finding the girl is "at the top of our list."

The federal effort is also designed to hit pimps with much tougher prison sentences than they would likely get in state criminal courts.

Government prosecutors look to bring racketeering charges or conspiracy charges that can result in decades of jail time.

"Some of these networks of pimps and their organizations are very sophisticated, they're interstate," said Roberts, requiring wiretaps and undercover sting operations to bring charges.

The weekend's roundup marked the third such Operation Cross Country, and is part of a broader federal program launched in 2003 to crack down on the sexual exploitation of children.
