European Civility and Humanity: Enlightened and Educated. Wise beyond their eons.

The issue of life and death, and whether the state has a right to take your life - a question that does not seem to ever be resolved when discussed by reasonable people of opposing views.  Europeans, who pride themselves on how enlightened they are (saving Paris from being bombed and all that art being preserved for all time, or that they are peace loving people and do not rush into war - unless we look at the curious case of Libya which was entirely European driven and for seemingly no good reason) often raise the fact the US does have the death penalty as a measure of our humanity and civility.

Perhaps.

Perhaps we do not make pretenses about how peaceful we are, wage war for utterly no reason that makes sense to anyone to drive out a leader who was your friend the day before (almost literally).  The rapist Frenchman who was head of the IMF - for many Frenchmen it was all set-up (unfortunately the ability of a Frenchman to examine any two pieces of information critically and arrive at a rational and logical conclusion is unknown to the French, so they prefer to muddle through and make up facts as they go - and then recreate history to conform to their peculiar belief system), he didn't do it.  I don't want to cause any capillaries to burst but that would mean the woman he assaulted was in on the conspiracy.

Further, it requires the simple Frenchman to add other rivals - anyone and everyone can become part of the conspiracy - Sarkozy for sure.  The woman who is about to become the head of the IMF would possibly be involved.  Obama - well, he seems to do what Sarkozy tells him to do (on Libya) so he may be involved which means the CIA is involved and you know what that means (that bin Laden was dead several years ago and the CIA kept him alive in spirit to allow Obama to look good).  The hospital staff where the woman he assaulted was taken would almost certainly be involved - they took DNA from her that came from the former IMF member.  As I recall, it was his body fluid removed from her that linked him to the assault conclusively.  We all know how quickly our police jump to conclusions and rush to airports to arrest foreign potentates.   This conspiracy would also require a Muslim woman to lie on behalf of governments and ideologies her belief system does not agree with nor accept.  Happens all the time - bin Laden was working with CIA, you know, for his kidney medicine and to allow Bush to become so powerful and Obama to be so popular ... 

There is a reason we should keep abortion legal in some countries.  Hopefully it weeds out these moronic idiots.

Alas, that is not the purpose for this post - rather, the point is the European idea of civility and humanity - that the death penalty is ghastly and always happens to the innocent and ... but the Europeans are so much more enlightened on the issue.  When they murder someone, they often receive 10-15 years.  Until recently, the only person charged in regard to the 9/11 attacks was in Germany and he was charged as an accessory - he received 10 or so years for the murder of 3,000 human beings.  Average worth of one human life  -1.5 days.  Very enlightened.

The story of Amanda Knox - a female living in Italy accused of killing her roommate in some twisted sex game or rape.  She was found guilty - consequently no longer accused.  She was sentenced to 26 (or 25) years for murdering Meredith Kercher.  She was not found guilty of being the single person to stab and murder Kercher, rather she was part of the murder and retrieved a knife for two others, who played the primary role, after which Knox purportedly stabbed her. 

The other two people involved - Rudy Guede and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele ­Sollecito.  Sollecito received the same length of sentence as Knox (25-26 years), while Guede received 30 years (he was also the primary actor in the killing).

Justice done.  30 years for the taking of one human life.  Except Guede had his sentence cut to 16 years.

Oh My God - they found out.  Thankfully they did not find out how we came to possess these peripheral nervous system instrument gauges.  At least for the moment that secret is still secret. 

I told them it was too risky trying it out on five public figures.  I told them and told them, but they refused to listen.  They just told me to not worry about it, that one of the subjects was old and no one would pay attention to her, one of them was a blonde and no one was listening to her anyway, the male television personality - he was different, and they directed a whole particle beam for 10 deliseconds more than is permissible under all guidelines.  The fifth subject - well, he is still out there, wailing away, but is such a loon no one has even considered he was subjected to an intense beam of alpha nomial particles, resulting in his insanity - after all, he goes around uttering the most inane and insane things - winning or losing he is truly a sad sack.  They took care of him, planting a suitcase of cocaine on him.  He thought it was his toiletries bag - not a bag full of cocaine.  Now no one pays attention to him.

Regardless of the selection of candidates - I am very happy no one has discovered the source of the code we have in use with our particle beam accelerators.  I mean, what would everyone think if they knew that Area 51 was real an d our technology came from an alien force living under Area 51 in Nevada.   What the general public doesn't know won't hurt them and if they did find out, we'd have to explain that we keep the aliens among us to protect us from the reptilian species living in the earth, who have for decades been taking humans and exchanging them with their reptilian brethren.  I am glad no one has put 2 and 2 together - after all, how else do you explain a dramatic increase in allergies.  The reptilian species are not used to our air and they are constantly sneezing and taking allergy pills.  The reptiles are taking human beings below for a food supply while exchanging the human with an exact replica that is a reptile.  Their goal - take over earth.  Our alien friends are assisting us in fighting off the reptiles.

A bizarre spate of television presenters dissolving into on-air gibberish has sparked claims that the U.S. military could be to blame.

In four high-profile cases, the latest involving fast-talking Judge Judy, the presenters have started off speaking properly but have then descended into undecipherable nonsense - looking confused and unstable.

The frequency of the 'attacks' - and the fact that recorded examples of the mental meltdowns have been popular on websites - has led to conspiracy theorists pointing the finger at shadowy government experiments.

Latest victim: Judge Judy Sheindlin had to stop her courtroom TV show on Wednesday after descending into nonsensical language

A popular theory being circulated online blames the U.S. Military’s supposed research into using microwaves as a mind control weapon.

America has never admitted conducting such research but proponents say the effects - produced by microwave signals stimulating the brain with fake images and voices - exactly mimic those displayed in the recent on-air breakdowns.

As to why the Pentagon might be targeting U.S. television presenters, the microwave theorists are less clear.

The phenomenon, which has provided internet video sites with some of the oddest footage for months, has now claimed one of America’s most highly paid broadcasters.

Judith Sheindlin, the fast-talking judge on Judge Judy, was taken to hospital on Wednesday after she began speaking a nonsensical string of words during a live recording of her courtroom TV show.

Studio insiders said Sheindlin, who earns £28 million a year for a show that is the most watched programme on American daytime TV, was sitting on camera and 'started saying things that didn’t make any sense'.

Sheindlin then announced she needed to stop as she didn’t feel well and asked a crew member to call an ambulance.

The 68-year-old lawyer was released from hospital the following day but a spokesman said medical tests had not revealed what caused her garbled speech and double vision.

Her verbal breakdown is the fourth such recent case and the odd coincidence has prompted feverish speculation over the cause.

No video has been released of the Judge Judy incident but footage of the other three has rapidly gone viral on the internet.

The first victim was Serene Branson, a Los Angeles reporter for CBS, who delivered a completely incoherent piece to camera on the Grammy music awards last month.

The presenter was unable to get out her words and continued to struggle to speak for around 10 seconds outside the Staples Centre before producers cut to a video.

She said later: 'My head was definitely pounding and I was very uncomfortable, and I knew something wasn’t right. I was terrified and confused.'

Her doctor later said she had suffered a complex migraine whose symptoms mimic a stroke.

Her case was followed by a Canadian news reporter whose report on his country’s contribution to the military campaign in Libya suddenly collapsed into gibberish.

Mark McAllister of Global Toronto News told viewers that the Canadian defence minister had confirmed that 'more than sifty four 18 fighter jets are spending about as much as 20 and ready to assist 600 hundred, hundred deployed over the an-amount needed'.

His piece-to-camera went on to become even more odd before he signed off.

His employers later confirmed there had been no problem with the autocue but McAllister had also suffered from a migraine.

In January, Sarah Carlson of WISC-TV in Wisconsin was also struck. She started out fine in her report on Wisconsin’s challenge to Barack Obama’s health care reforms, but it soon became apparent that she was having trouble forming words and the camera switched to a startled-looking co-presenter.

Unlike the others, Carlson, 35, has a history of seizures, but America’s army of conspiracy theorists are unconvinced by the medical explanations.

Bill Clinton speaks of vast, right-wing conspiracy

WASHINGTON — Bill Clinton says a vast, right-wing conspiracy that once targeted him is now focusing on President Barack Obama.

The ex-president made the comment in a television interview when he was asked about one of the signature moments of the Monica Lewinsky affair over a decade ago. Back then, first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton used the term "vast, right-wing conspiracy" to describe how her husband's political enemies were out to destroy his presidency.

Bill Clinton was asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" whether the conspiracy is still there. He replied: "You bet. Sure it is. It's not as strong as it was because America has changed demographically. But it's as virulent as it was."

Clinton said that this time around, the focus is on Obama and "their agenda seems to be wanting him to fail."

Despite being the U.S.'s closest Arab ally, for the past three years Egypt's government-controlled media has been unremittingly antagonistic in its reporting about September 11.

Setting the tone was Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak during a conspiracy-filled interview in the leading Egyptian daily Al-Ahram on October 25, 2001: "I find it hard to believe that people who were learning to fly in Florida could, within a year and a half, fly large commercial airlines and hit with accuracy the towers of the World Trade Center which would appear, to the pilot from the air, the size of a pencil. Only a professional pilot could carry out this mission."

This past year alone, there has been a consistent stream of Egyptian conspiracy theories, primarily stating that Arabs or Muslims were not involved in September 11, and that the U.S. government or Jews/Israel is the true culprit. During this period, one of the most popular songs in Egypt praised the events that killed nearly 3,000 Americans. The beloved Egyptian singer Sha'ban Abd Al-Rahim's song "Kharittat Al Tariq" (Road Map) states that the U.S. is the perpetrator of the attacks: "Hey people, it was only a tower and I swear by Allah that they [the U.S.] are the ones who pulled it down."

Prominent members of Egyptian academia have also been teaching this year that America is "100 percent behind September 11." The former dean of humanities at 'Ein Shams University, Mustafa Shak'a, was interviewed by Saudi Iqra TV on June 16 and said: "To this day, we don't know who attacked the U.S. on September 11. Why is the attack attributed to bin Laden although it has not been proven that he was involved in the operation?... The operation was 100 percent American..." Another Egyptian professor, Galal Amin of the American University wrote an article for Al-Ahram in April that stated: "There is still doubt that the September [11] attacks were the outcome of Arab and Islamic terror. No conclusive proof to this effect is yet available.

Many writers, American and European, as well as Arab, suspect that the attacks were carried out by Americans..."

Leading Egyptian journalists have also written conspiracy theories about September 11 this year. On August 9, the editor of the prestigious Egyptian daily Al-Akhbar, Galal Dweidar, wrote an article about the U.S. titled "Barbarian Imperialist Occupation," which questioned who was really behind the attacks: "...There are strong doubts regarding the identity of those who schemed the terrorist action that targeted the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York..." The deputy editor of the daily Al-Gumhouriyya, Abd Al-Wahhab 'Adas, wrote an article on April 23 accusing Jews of perpetrating September 11: "Actually, it is they who are behind the events of September 11. Proof of this is what was broadcast by the Canadian news agency on September 17...that prior to the events the CIA had received a report that the Mossad would carry out an attack operation on American territory... Further [proof] of this is the news in the American papers at that time, that 4,000 Jews of American origin who worked at the World Trade Center received instructions from the Mossad not to go to work that day..."

This has become a bit of an annual trend. To commemorate the attacks, Al-Arabiyya TV conducted an interview with the Egyptian father of Muhammad Atta on September 11, 2003. He too characterized September 11 as, "100 percent made-in-America. All the facts that have been verified and published in the press, on television, and in the statements of officials in the U.S. and abroad prove definitively that this even is an American product, as I said on Egyptian television 72 hours after the event... The subject [at hand] is not my son; it is more general. Is my son or any of the other 19 young men — four of whom died over a year before the event... [Moreover], the FBI announced it had recorded two telephone calls on the 11th made by two congressmen at the Capitol to two American newspapers, in which they said, 'The zero hour has come, and the competition begins tomorrow.'"

Leading Egyptian strategic planners have also espoused conspiracy theories about September 11. For its September 10, 2003, edition, the Akher Sa'a weekly interviewed several experts for articles commemorating the attacks. Among them was General Mahmoud Khalaf, who said: "What took place on September 11 was a conspiratorial plan by the U.S. to justify invading Afghanistan and later Iraq. In 1999, books were published exposing a plan by far right-wing American hawks to fulfill the dream of a large empire, and there was an opportunity [for this] on September 11..." Also interviewed was General Ali Hafzi, governor of the northern Sinai district of Egypt, who stated: "The September 11, 2001 event was meant to determine and direct the events of the 21st century in order to force American hegemony on the world and to enable it to be the sole superpower in the world..."

Since September 11, 2001 many have asked "Why do they hate us?" The answer that is almost always overlooked is that the Arab media, along with schoolbooks and sermons, espouses never-ending incitement of and lies about America.

Democrats Shrug Off Edwards' Affair, Paternity Questions

WASHINGTON — While many questions remain unanswered regarding John Edwards' affair with a woman he hired to produce videos of him, some Democrats are already writing off the impact of the news.

Edwards, who admitted on Friday that he had an affair with Reille Hunter after meeting her in a New York bar, insists he is not the father of Hunter's baby, Frances Quinn. A former Edwards staffer, Andrew Young, took responsibility for the child though no name for the father appears on the birth certificate.

The Edwards-Hunter affair was busted open by tabloid reports two weeks ago after Edwards was caught visiting Hunter and the baby at the Beverly hilton hotel.

A hotel security guard confirmed to FOXNews.com that he had helped Edwards leave the property after he barricaded himself in a bathroom to elude reporters who had been chasing him at 2:40 in the morning.

Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, who still backed her husband's presidential bid after announcing in March 2007 that her breast cancer had returned, have canceled plans to attend the Democratic convention in Denver on Aug. 25-28.

But Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, a strong supporter of presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, said he didn't know whether Edwards' shot at getting a slot in an Obama administration has been dashed by the revelations.

"I have no idea. I've not spoken to him about that. As you're aware, I'm sure, Senator Edwards announced through one of his staffers he would not be attending the convention in Denver," Durbin said on "FOX News Sunday."

Durbin said this type of news is no longer difficult for Washington to swallow.

"Let's be very honest. There's weakness when it comes to both political parties. ... I feel very badly for John and Elizabeth, who are friends. I know them and I know their families. They're going through a very difficult time. I hope they can resolve this between them," Durbin said.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who also was a presidential candidate this year, said he was not going to "pile on" to Edwards.

"Obviously, he let a lot of people down. I feel for Elizabeth. But, you know, the public is forgiving. Obviously, this is something between himself and his family and voters. You know, I feel for that family. I still believe that John Edwards is committed to reducing poverty. I think his concern in the campaign was genuine," he told ABC's "This Week."

"This is a difficult period. You know, but I'm just not going to be one of those that pile on,' Richardson continued.

Edwards said he hired Hunter before ever having an affair with her, but doubt is being cast on that claim. According to Sunday's New York Post, Hunter was e-mailing pals in April 2006 about visiting her married boyfriend "down South." The Post also reports that sources say the two met t a bar in late 2005 or early 2006.

Hunter's company, Midline Groove Productions, was first paid to produce the videos for Edwards' One America Committee PAC in July 2006, months after she was e-mailing friends about him.

Edwards said he told his wife everything about the affair after it ended in 2006. He described her as "furious" but able to forgive him. Still, Hunter was photographed with Edwards on Dec. 29 2006. The final payment to Midline Groove was made on April 1, 2007.

National Review writer Byron York said the fallout from Edwards' affair may not hurt Obama, but it leaves Edwards' future in doubt.

"Barack Obama has such a squeaky-clean family image. But it's not over. I don't think anybody in political circles, including Democrats, believes ... Edwards' claim that he is not the father of this child," York told "FOX News Sunday".

"And then you — additionally, you have the money angle, which is Fred Baron, big trial lawyer, big supporter of John Edwards, paying millions of dollars to relocate Rielle Hunter and Andrew Young and his family, the man who has claimed paternity for the child, to California, supposedly just out of the goodness of his heart and without telling John Edwards," he said.

Washington Post reporter Ruth Marcus said the impact on Democrats overall has been limited by the decision by John and Elizabeth Edwards to stay out of Denver.

"It's not good to be talking — especially when we're going to see a certain former president speaking at the convention, to be reminding people of people's marital missteps. On the other hand ... sexual misconduct and adultery is something of a bipartisan failing in Washington and elsewhere. So I think it's not great for Democrats, but not terrible," she said.

Do people make mistakes? Yes. Was it a mistake? Edwards says it was.

What does that say? Actions he took, planned, thought through, were not thought through? He planned to see the woman days and weeks in advance. In that time, he was unable to change his mind and realize he made a mistake? And how dare Edwards supporters criticize Bush on his unapologetic stand on Iraq. How dare you. Edwards could not admit to a mistake and stop or change his behavior and it impacted a dozen or so people. Imagine the catastrophe that could have befallen us had he won in 2004.

Interesting that while this issue is personal, it isn't personal. It is in that it goes to the heart of human behavior, need, want, and desire. Yet, when candidates for the highest offices in the world, show themselves weaker than the average man, and lie - then it is a public issue. And we know the common man, the average guy, is not afflicted to the same degree/ratio as politicians or every two people would be having affairs, or very nearly. And do not say they lie to save their marriage or family - that requires forethought, that these people seem to be missing. Had they any ability to make decisions, they would not have engaged in the activity, stopped the action, given the many hours and days between visits, or would have admitted they had fallen in love with the other person, and would leave public office in order to spend the rest of their life with that person.

Would you. But then, not doing so denies any emotion but for lust and or sex. It takes a rational human being and turns them into nothing more than an animal. That should bother people.

Setting aside the personal - it also shows a lapse in judgment, an intent, and a lack of moral turpitude. Had any of them simply said that they loved the other person, and would separate from their spouse and .... it would be easier and less problematic. Leaving someone is always difficult, but Edwards could have claimed he had fallen in love with Hunter ... could have.

He didn't. It was a mistake.

Republicans and Democrats seem equally afflicted with this, but that does not mean that Republicans let it pass, as the article suggests Democrats are doing. In each case where a Republican member of Congress buggered anyone, or had an affair - they resigned, or were shunned by the party until they quit, or did not stand for re-election the next time.

For the Democrats, the outcome is not as clear. For Democrats, the case of Edwards, should not be just another day at the office, or boys will be boys. It is not the norm or usual, common, typical. HE ran for President of the United States, and his wife has terminal cancer.

Does the fact his wife has cancer make this any different - slightly. It shows an absolute callusness toward a woman who he has said a hundred times, stood by him, and he was not doing the same thing. If Elizabeth Edwards did not have cancer, would it be different? Slightly. Edwards has also run on a platform of family - his family and his driving passion for all families, to help and raise up our families. Unless it happens to be his bastard child, in which case, he isn't interested in lifting her up, at least publicly.

Set the political office he sought aside, along with the fact his wife has been battling cancer. This Moore 'documentary' will be yet another pack of lies covered up with chocolate crap to make it appear official to the mindless idiots who will go and watch it. We have a very large country with over 300 million people living at any given time, within our borders. According to recent accounts, we add one new person every 30 seconds, and that is not from birth increases.

We have as many opinions in this country as we do people - on every subject. Less than 1% of a population at any given time is irrelevant as to what their opinions are and we tend, generally, as Americans, to be middle-of-the-roaders (not to be mistaken for middle -earthers although the US is or could be in the middle of the earth depending on ones perspective. The number of fools and idiots, nuts, and fruitcakes who believe the nonsense listed above are deserving of a strong suggestion that they not reproduce, for all our sakes.

That is generally how Americans regard idiocy.

A population that believes (78-90%) that Israel is sending prostitutes into Egypt and or the West Bank (which in some stories becomes interchangeable) with AIDS in order to infect Egyptian men. Finally, October 31, 1999 - Egypt Air Flight 990 crashed into the Atlantic killing 217 people on board. The Boeing 767 made a 40 degree dive with the engines shut off. After an exhaustive investigation, the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) concluded that it was a deliberate act on the part of the Co-Pilot. Planes can withstand 5 degrees or a 10 degree dive or climb, but a 40 degree dive, engines shut off would have created a speed close to 700 mph, 86% the speed of sound - the plane would have come apart as it sped toward the ocean/cement. The black box found provided tape recordings - the pilot gets up to the bathroom and leaves the cockpit under the control of the copilot. While the pilot is away, the copilot begins to recite prayers before turning the plane into a descent. Then the engines were shut off. The pilot makes it back and is screaming at the copilot - what are you doing, what did you do. The copilot ignores his screams and holds the controls pointing the plane toward the ocean cement fast approaching.

End of facts.

Egyptians blame Boeing. they say the co-pilot has a daughter who needed medical treatments he would bring back from the US on his flights. He would never do such a thing and leave his daughter, nor would he do something so unIslamic. The NTSB conclusions must be fabricated and a lie - Egyptians are convinced the NTSB covered up the crash and blamed it on the poor co-pilot. The percent who believe this, according to the polls - 93% of those polled believe it was a cover up by the NTSB and Boeing was responsible.

The logic - Boeing didn't want to be responsible so they paid the NTSB off and the US government to protect Boeing from bad headlines in the press.

I ask again - how do you converse with people whose national identity is one of conspiracy and fear. What on earth do they do with the billions we provide them? Surely it is not used to develop an educated populace for it has failed.

Everything is a conspiracy with them. If it isn't, that is a conspiracy. If it isn't the Jews it has to be the Americans.

They should be very concerned about how and what we think of them.

Yet, we have a few people who fell out of the stupid tree, hitting every branch on the way down, who believe we need to rebuild relations with the world.

Iraq - their government and people should, if they are rational and at all reasonable, be very very appreciative of everything the US has done for them and there is NOTHING on earth we can do better to make them like us any more.

Afghanistan - this is another Iraq issue - there is nothing we can do in Afghanistan that will make them like us one iota more that we have not done or given or do every day. Our blood has been shed for them and many understand that. No hugging by Obama or Edwards or Clinton, Biden, Kennedy, Richardson will change anything in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Thus far - Pakistan and Egypt have been sorted as has Iraq and Afghanistan.

Insanity

I have reached a conclusion - people who believe in conspiracies are mentally ill. Like any mental illness, there are stages and degrees. Some people are in the earliest stage and are afflicted to a lesser degree than others - for them there is hope. For others, there is no hope. They live to follow a conspiracy that is in the kindest words possible - idiotic, moronic, insane, foolish, assinine, stupid, and ignorant.

It is not a matter of being open minded - I have never considered it necessary to be open to bestiality to be fair when offering an opinion about bestiality. I have never felt it necessary to be open minded about human slavery to offer a condemnation of slavery. I do not need to consider what the genocidaires thought to dismiss them as murderers and evil.

Our education system has created this culture, in part - to be open minded is equated with a willingness to accept all things.

But not all things are equal and the September 11 conspiracies are the most stupid ramblings I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. People who utter those ramblings are as mad as a hatter. Like a hatter, they have no idea they are crazy, they simply regard everyone else as slow or shrouded in a fog.

They refuse to grasp the reality and instead feed off of every little idiotic thread of doubt. It is not academic and it is not mature. My only hope is that a majority of these people will grow up and leave their childish ways behind, and become contributing members of our society.

I have addressed enough of the claims in class or in earlier posts on my FAQs page to make it clear to the fools with the tin foil, that I have been exposed to their insane views and claims, and I reject them and the fools who utter them. It would indeed be a better use of their time if they got high all day and stared at their navel.

Instead, they infect others and each new semester I have one or two students who feel they have just had The Secret revealed to them and wish to enlighten me. What it does for me is it gives me indigestion, an ulcer, stomach ache, headache, back ache, fatigue, and flatulence.

You do not show your intelligence. You demonstrate nothing but stupidity and ignorance. When an academic hears you utter the insane ramblings you no doubt will utter in an attempt to impress them with your open-mindedness, they are not looking at you with interest as you speak, but with disdain and contempt. They only refrain from making that contempt clear for fear you will stab them with a sacred dagger from your sacred chest designed by some ancient mystic to kill the anti-Christ.

Please - stop with the insanity. You are not privy to some secret information the rest of us just refuse to see. We have seen it and reject it as stupid and idiotic.

What is even sadder is - for you to believe the crap you believe and maintain a logical framework in which you live your life, you will necessarily believe that when the next attacks occur, they are also perpetrated by the same people - that when millions of Americans are incinerated / vaporoized, or otherwise killed, the same men are responsible. For your brain to go down that road, and for some of you, it will, makes you as dangerous to our survival as the Islamo-fascists who will have committed the act and publicly claimed responsibility.
