Obama: It's the Republicans fault that Bin Laden is ...

... still around.

- Republicans have no "standing to suggest that they've learned a lot of lessons from 9-11."
Republicans "helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9-11."

- Osama bin Laden is still at large in part because of their failed strategies.

Then, to ensure he was not being partisan, Richard Clarke was solicited to throw in his three cents worth:

"I'm a little disgusted by the attempts of some of my friends on the McCain campaign to use the same old, tired tactics ... to drive a wedge between Americans for partisan advantage and to frankly frighten Americans."

*********************************************

Obama was, of course, not being political, was not trying to drive a wedge, was not using 9/11 as a political tool, and overall was of course responsible, choosing the high road, in his comments.

Bullshit, I have a more practical scenario -

Bin laden remains alive because Bill Clinton failed to take responsibility in 1993, failed to go after him every chance he had, failed to take the Sudanese up on their offer, failed time and again and as a consequence of the Democratic party's failures, September 11, 2001 materialized.

Now, we can point fingers and I believe over the next thirty years, unless Democrats rewrite every book, the facts will present themselves clearly and my set of facts are detailed. Obama's comments are purely political, divisive, and foolish.

He and the Democratic party have failed to take lessons from all the attacks upon the US between 1993 and 2001, and they fail today.

They are wholly unprepared, inexperienced, and quite honestly, they are dangerous.
