Newsweek: Spreading the manure for the WH Spin Machine

Seven Falsehoods About Health Care
Big myths about the current debate

Newsweek has a story on the healthcare fiasco. The link above will take you to the site.

I will consider only one issue:

Analysis False: Government Will Decide What Care I Get (a.k.a. they won't give grandma a hip replacement)

I am not sure whether the very educated writers, columnists, anchors, reporters, and others are simply stupid, ignorant, too busy sucking up, or remain in the trance they have been in for the last six months but this is the most absurd statement the media can perpetuate.

One of the arguments made by Obama et al, is a need to streamline or reduce expensive surgeries in favor of treatments that work.

You streamline by reducing surgeries which are unnecessary. Who is it that gets to decide what is and is not necessary? Not your doctor. Not you. A bureaucrat in an agency established by the government.

That fact is as far as we need to go ... their statement is false. They lied.
