Whats in a name?

I have no idea, but we find Hollywood not wanting their children to be followed, chased, photographed, and just as importantly, to not be just one of the rest of us.

They want their child to stand out, but not to be followed. To be independent, but not newsworthy enough to be chased by paparazzi.

Then perhaps a quick review of a few names doled out by celebrity parents to their children:

Apple - Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin

Banjo - Rachel Griffiths

Bronx Mowgli - Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz (Why not bagera or baloo)

Jermajesty - Jermaine Jackson

Kal-El - Nicolas Cage (Why not Superman)

Maddox - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Moon Unit - Frank Zappa

Moxie Crimefighter - Penn Jillette

Pilot Inspektor - Jason Lee

Twitty Milk - Erykah Badu and Jay Electronica (Given the parents names, no wonder)

Satchel - Mia Farrow and Woody Allen

Suri - Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise

Zuma Nesta Rock - Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale (What was going on here - Zuma beach on a rock)

Then compare Tiger Woods and the names he gave - Charlie and Sam.

Ben and Jennifer - their children Seraphina Rose Elizabeth and Violet

Emery Hope - Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn

Which (Woods/ Affleck/Sehorn) or the rest, stand a better chance of normalcy?

Nothing is wrong with normalcy - it is what allows us not to be hounded at 80 mph by paprazzi that threaten lives and property. It allows us not to worry our property is being trespassed upon to get photos of us. Normalcy.

It is what they demand for their children from the media, but it is not what they offer their children.
