Health Care and Clunkers

Government run health care like it runs everything else: defense department toilet seats or the Cash for Clunkers on again off again program.

The government cannot do very much very well - they do protect this nation and do it quite well, but that is about the extent of what they can do.

The $1 billion for the clunkers - no one has an idea of how much has been spent already, no one has any idea of what to do with the cars turned in. They sit in lots, piling up - and cannot be driven off. Their engines have been carefully destroyed. They sit, and no one has informed the dealerships how to deal with them or what will happen. Dealers were told that they would be compensated within 10 days, but the government has revised that and now claims it could take up to one month.

And who believes the government capable of running something even more complex and much larger?
