Talk about a dysfunctional topsy turvy world

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe defended land policies blamed for devastating his country's agricultural sector, asserting at a U.N. food summit Tuesday that the West was trying to cripple the nation's economy.

Mugabe's presence at a summit addressing high global food prices sparked protests from some world leaders. He is blamed for the economic collapse of a country once considered a regional breadbasket and Zimbabweans increasingly are unable to afford food and other essentials.

I suppose in a world where an immature Senator says we must negotiate with Iran with no preconditions and the crowd cheers wildly, who then goes back on that statement and says he will quite likely not speak to Iran's dictator (and the crowds don't get to hear that out loud), in a world where good is bad and bad is good, I suppose Mugabe makes perfect sense.

His country was once the breadbasket of Africa. He was an exporter of foods. His was a paradise until he seized all the land from white farmers, and redistributed it, leading to famine and starvation - and now he blames the West. His country imports food to survive.

And stupidly, I bet, some will believe him.

Why is this man still around.

As if he isn't bad enough, his partner - mad man Amindinejad from Iran also blames the West for the food shortage. It defies logic, but I suppose that is what Gore gets - turn food to fuel and people starve and then the world blames us, even if it is almost entirely their fault. Senator - these are the people you wish to apologize to? Fool.
