Israel: Soldier Kidnapped

IDF looking into possible kidnapping
Massive security forces deployed in greater Tel Aviv area, Highway 443., dozens of roadblocks set up following report that soldier was forced into vehicle near Ben Gurion Airport; Palestinian group claims its 'resistance fighters' abducted soldier

The IDF and Israel Police received a report at around noon Thursday claiming that two civilians forced an IDF soldier into a car at an intersection near an Israeli Air Force base adjacent to Ben Gurion International Airport.

In response to the report, filed by a woman soldier, security forces set up dozens of roadblocks in the greater Tel Aviv area, Petah

Tikva and Highway 443. Two helicopters were scrambled as part of the clampdown. So far there have been no reports of any missing soldiers, and the report's credibility is being checked.

The Israeli dragnet, which began in the early afternoon and lasted into the evening, froze traffic around Ben-Gurion Airport on the highway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported a previously unknown organization called "Al-Quds Army" claimed responsibility for abducting an Israeli soldier.

The organization's statement read: "Our resistance fighters captured an Israeli soldier near Ben Gurion airport and withdrew along with the soldier peacefully - later we will give details about the captured soldier.

A Palestinian security official said the Al-Quds Army, while fairly obscure, was believed to have links to the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah, a foe of the Jewish state.

The Palestinian security official could not immediately confirm that such a claim of responsibility had been made.

A driver who was stuck at the entry to Petah Tikva told Ynet, "This is usually a three-minute stretch of road but it took nearly 45-minutes."

Another said that dozens of police cruisers were seen rushing along the Atarot Junction in central Israel.

Trespassing = rape. therefore, raping women who trespass is lawful.

And if rapes occur, they are justified.

In many countries, there are no laws concerning rape.

Iran: Awards to Murderers, death to Israelis

This is a bit dated, but given the arrest and sentencing of the American journalist, and the previous detention of an American student ... it is still very appropritae given the quiet in Hollywood and the media.

Iran honors murderer Samir Kuntar
During award ceremony honoring former prisoners Kuntar says 'Zionist regime must be destroyed'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad awarded murderer Samir Kuntar an honorary statuette Thursday during a ceremony in honor of former political prisoners from Iran and the world.

The state-owned IRNA reported that Kuntar arrived in Iran with the former captors of Ron Arad, Mustafa Dirani and Sheikh Abdel Karim Obeid, to receive honors for their imprisonment in Israel and their share in "supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance."

Awards were also granted to 30 Iranian prisoners form the time of the Shah's reign, 10 prisoners from Muslim countries, and one prisoner from the period of apartheid in South Africa.

Kuntar received a statuette featuring two prisoners attempting to break through the bars of a prison. During a press conference, the convicted murderer praised Iran for its contribution to Hamas and Hizbullah.

"The Islamic revolution in Iran has a big part in the victories of the years 2000, 2006, and the most recent victory of the people of Gaza," he told reporters.

During the ceremony Kuntar said, "We must resist the American occupation because the Americans support dictatorship, and in the region we must resist the Zionist regime and destroy it."

The terrorist was released from an Israeli prison last year as part of a prisoner swap between Israel and Hizbullah, after he had been detained for 30 years.

Despite his long sentence Kuntar was ready to continue his fight against "the occupying enemy". He said, "Every drop of blood and every bit of pain are the price we paid for victory."

Dirani, a former member of the Shiite Amal group in Lebanon, captured IDF navigator Ron Arad together with his followers after the soldier had been forced to abandon his plane above Lebanon in 1986.

Eight years later Dirani was taken from his home in the middle of the night by Israeli forces, but after he was brought to Israel it was discovered that he had transferred Arad to other hands in exchange for money.

Dirani remained imprisoned in Israel until his release from prison in 2004, together with colleague Abd al-Karim Obeid, in a prisoner swap for Elhanan Tannenbaum and the bodies of three kidnapped IDF soldiers.

Obama and Iran

Of course, Mr. Obama, you wish to 'talk' to them, negotiate with them - about what? You are forced to send a letter they believe shows weakness, while you pretend a ship is not carrying illegal arms to hizbollah in order to rationalize your desire to speak to a terrorist supporting regime. Do you understand how irrational and illogical your behavior is - how inexperienced it shows you to be? It does. And everyone knows it does. How do you compartmentalize things like Iran sending a ship filled with weapons while you tell Iran you want to talk to them ...

You really are naive.

Iranian arms ship intercepted by US warship has sealed secret holds
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report
January 25, 2009, 9:15 PM (GMT+02:00)

The Iranian ship boarded by a US Navy Coast Guard team on the Red Sea last week before it could smuggle arms to Hamas is now disclosed by DEBKAfile's military sources to have tried to trick the search team by enclosing its rocket cargo in secret compartments behind layers of steel. Furthermore, our sources reveal, the US has not yet found a harbor in the region for carrying out a thorough search.

The Cypriot-flagged Iranian freighter Nochegorsk was intercepted last week by the new US Combined Task Force 151 in the Bab al-Mandeb Straits. Its presence in the Red Sea was first revealed by DEBKAfile on Jan. 20.

The Americans decided not to give the Israeli Navy a chance to seize the vessel and tow it to Eilat for fear of a Tehran ultimatum to Jerusalem, followed by Iranian attacks on Israeli naval craft patrolling the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea.

Iran maintains two warships in those waters to guard its shipping against Somali pirates as well as a military presence in the Eritrean port of Assab. The arms smuggling ship was first reported escorted out of the Suez Canal Saturday night, Jan. 23, after which Washington imposed a blackout on the incident. It is now moored at an Egyptian Red Sea port at the entrance to the Gulf of Suez.

But the US and Egyptian governments are in a fix. To break the Iranian ship's holds open and expose the rockets destined for Hamas, the facilities of a sizeable port are needed. It would have to be Egyptian because the other coastal nations - Eritrea, Sudan and Somalia - are hostile or controlled by pirates. Both the US and Egypt are hesitant about precipitating a full-blown armed confrontation with Iran. The timing is wrong for the new Barack Obama administration, which is set on smoothing relations with Tehran through diplomatic engagement. Cairo has just launched a campaign to limit Tehran's aggressive drive in the Middle East but does not want a premature clash.

DEBKAfile's Iranian sources disclose that the ship's captain had orders not to resist an American boarding team but impede a close look at its freight. The Navy Coast Guard searchers first found a large amount of ordnance and explosives in the ship's hold, which the Iranian captain claimed were necessary for securing Iranian freighters heading from the Red Sea to the Suez Canal. But then, the US searchers using metal detectors perceived welded steel compartments packed with more hardware concealed at the bottom of the hull.

The option of towing it to a Persian Gulf port for an intensive search was rejected because the Gulf emirates hosting US bases were almost certain to shy away from involvement in the affair. Moreover, Tehran would be close enough to mount a naval commando operation to scuttle the ship before it was searched.

Our military sources estimate that eventually the US government may decide to let the Iranian arms ship sail through the Suez Canal out to the Mediterranean for lack of other options.

Lefty Loons and their Lies

Leftists make stuff up, and then build upon the lies, develop stories built upon the lies built upon the lies, and then reference all the stories as evidence that their initial lie was true.

I was listening to the radio this morning - rarely do I venture into the arena of such large egos, but this time I was bored and turned it on. The subject: Marital Rape.

The host of the show had written several articles (I assume this from what was said, but have not read them) suggesting that wives, even if they are not interested or not in the mood, should still have sex with their husbands.

Two bloggers from who knows where - both on the ideological left, attacked him for condoning MARITAL RAPE.

The female lefty started off by saying that suggesting a woman who didn't want to and was unwilling to have sex would be, certainly, marital rape.

She was the best example, I think, of the problem with lefty loons - - - the radio guy NEVER CONDONED OR SUPPORTED OR IN ANY WAY IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE ANYTHING TO DO WITH RAPE. The radio guy suggested women should even if they are 'not in the mood' or 'not interested' should still give their husband sex.

The lefty loon turned his comment that the women may be 'not in the mood' or 'not interested' into UNWILLING RAPE.

Brilliant - the manipulation of facts into lies.

Another example is: The IDF using Phosphorus rockets/missiles against Gaza in contravention to the Geneva Convention.

Brilliant - and again, a lie.

Jimmy Carter and Hezbollah - No Significant Differences

Carter says willing to meet with Hizbullah

Former US president in Lebanon, confirms he would sit down with terror organization's leaders if they are willing to meet him. Carter was widely criticized for meeting with Hamas' politburo chief in April during visit to Syria

Associated Press
December 9, 2008

Former US President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday he is ready to meet with Hizbullah officials if the Lebanese militant group agreed to see him.

Carter made his comments upon arrival in Lebanon where he will assess whether his Atlanta-based Carter Center would take part in monitoring next year's parliamentary elections.

Asked whether he would meet with Hizbullah officials during his five-day visit, Carter told reporters that it was up to the militant group, which the United States considers a terrorist organization.

"I am going to meet with all of the political parties as possible," Carter said. "I understand that several leaders of Hizbullah said they were not going to meet with any president or former president of the United States, so I don't know yet."

A Hizbullah official told The Associated Press the group had no immediate comment on Carter's remarks but said it might issue a statement, most likely on Wednesday.

Washington blames Hizbullah for the explosion that killed 241 US Marines at their Beirut barracks in 1983, as well as for two attacks on the US Embassy in Beirut and the 1985 TWA hijacking that killed an American serviceman on board.

Hizbullah denies the accusations and says it opposes terrorism.

Carter was widely criticized in April when he met in Syria with the exiled Hamas leader, Khaled Mashaal. The US also labels Hamas a terrorist organization.

While in Lebanon, Carter said he will meet with President Michel Suleiman and Prime Minister Fuad Saniora.

Hamas - We want death not peace 2

Intense Palestinian mortar fire injures 8 Israeli soldiers opposite Gaza

DEBKAfile Special Report
November 29, 2008, 12:05 PM (GMT+02:00)

Hamas took responsibility for the Palestinian mortar barrage directed Friday night, Nov. 28, at the IDF base near Nahal Oz opposite the Gaza Strip. Six men and women soldiers remain in hospital. Staff at Beersheba's Sorocca hospital stabilized two seriously injured soldiers overnight, but had to amputate the leg of one of them.

The Palestinian fire, timed for the Sabbath Eve meal at the IDF base, hit the quarters of the officers and women soldiers. Mortar fire was also aimed at Shear Hanegev and Netiv Ha'asara but caused no harm.

DEBKAfile's military sources report that by claiming the attack the Hamas terrorist group makes nonsense of defense minister Ehud Barak's policy of "preserving the ceasefire."

In the last two weeks, Barak plunged into intense diplomacy through American, Egyptian and Jordanian channels for Hamas' acceptance of an unwritten extension of the Gaza truce which expires next month. Jordanian emissaries went to Damascus to talk with Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal; prime minister Ehud Olmert and Barak travelled to Amman for an update on their mission from King Abdullah; and a defense ministry official, Amos Gilead, was dispatched to Cairo.

Barak then decided that his initiative had worked: Hamas was ready to accept a ceasefire in Gaza – until the rude awakening Friday morning: An IDF patrol sighted a terrorist band in Gaza on its way to lay explosive devices on the border fence which demarcates the land of Kibbutz Nirim. Israeli soldiers entered Gaza Strip to head them off. Three terrorists were killed in the ensuing shoot-out.

Hamas demonstrated by its reprisal that it does not feel bound by any truce deals with Israel and is free to start shooting whenever it likes.

*************************************************

Edward Bellamy wrote a book, first published in 1888, and more times thereafter than I am able to count, that had a character named Julian West, who for reasons I cannot recall, went to sleep in 1887 and woke up September 10, 2000. 113 years changed Boston - from a capitalistic enterprise to one that provided what we would call utopian idealism - socialism. Everyone was cared for and ... but that is not the point. The point is - assume you were Julian West and you went to sleep in May 1887 and woke up in September 2000. What might you think - of lights, phones, computers, PDAs, cell phones, of skype and cameras on the internet? Might you be blown away - so confused and utterly bewildered that you are more like a two year old than an adult?

That is how I feel every time I read or hear of the claims made by Palestinians. I have entered Alice's world and have run into the rabbit and the Mad Hatter swept in smoothly with Julian West and 113 years.

In 2005, Israel left Gaza. For all intents and purposes, Israel left Gaza.

Everything Gaza needs - water, electricity, food - comes from Israel, or through Israel. gaza is unsustainable. If it was sustainable, it would be working. The money has been provided. Any doubt of this - simply check the bank account at the time of Arafat's death. Nearly $1 billion dollars. If this is not enough, check the EU donations to the Palestinians, check the UN donations to the Palestinians, check the US donations to the Palestinians. Add up all that money and you are well able to rebuild an area the size of Gaza from dust, and do it in one year. You have the workers - everyone is unemployed. You have the money - it is sent every year.

Alas, this is not the case. Rather than building the infrastructure, Hamas prefers to buy weapons.

So Israel pulls out of Gaza. Rather than celebrate and begin a process of introspection - review the books, check the accounts, begin negotiations with groups who can go in and help build (UN/Russia/US/UK/FR) - Hamas begins attacks on Israel with mortars. An average of 10 a day. Israel's response - usually at night, Israeli soldiers would secret themselves into Gaza, remove the individuals who had the mortars, and then secret themselves back out of Gaza.

When the attacks increased - Israel cut the amount of electricty or water or supplies going in to Gaza. Most notably after they checked trucks carrying 'emergency supplies' and found weapons. Even then, even then they did not cut ALL electricty or supplies, they simply hindered the movement. The response - Hamas called Israel names. Hamas said Israel was starving children and depriving women of medications and doctors of necessary supplies, depriving women and children of electricty, and all people of water. And the mortar attacks continued.

It got so bad, Hamas ordered several thousand Palestinians to storm the Egyptian gates. The Egyptian border guards shot at the Palestinians cutting through the gates, but as the gates fell and thousands poured accross, the guards fled. The Palestinians fled into near by villages, and Hamas began collecting weapons. It was at this time that a truce went into effect with Israel. The mortar attacks went from 10 a day to 1 a day. The Palestinians who had fled across the border into Egypt were slowly collected by Egyptians troops who were called in to secure the border. In the process, hundreds of weapons caches were found in the desert.

Israeli soldiers captured/ found / stopped more weapons from crossing into Israel thorugh Egypt immediately after the Hamas led invasion of Egypt, than at any time prior. Hamas was planning something and wanted as many weapons inside Israel as possible.

Just Married and Determined to Die - The woman, just married, has been training to die - to kill Israelis and die. Why is she training, even though a cease fire exists? Because it will end and when it does, she will go out and blow herself up.

Why is she so sure it will end / fail?

Maybe because Hamas is sending 10 mortars a day again, digging tunnels into Israel, secreting weapons into Gaza, attacking guards, and killing Israelis.

Maybe because Hamas is trying to get Israel to break the ceasefire. Trying really hard.

Israel: Impediment to Peace?

Iran - says it now has enough material for a nuclear weapon.
Hizbollah - has been buying Iranian and Syrian weaponry and stocking up
Hamas - since forever has been firing rockets into Israel, although has stepped up attacks in recent months.
Fatah - can't decide what its purpose is - to fight Israelis or get killed by Hamas killers.
Attacks from west bank on Israel increased
Palestinians broke through into Egypt and in the course of the breakdown in Egyptian control, has secreted back into Israel stockpiles of weapons during a period of 'truce'.

Syria has surrounded Lebanon, emasculating whatever facade existed as to independence.

And what is it Israel is supposed to do? A better question, what will they do, and who, honestly, can blame them. Not I. They have tolerated about 300 rocket attacks more than I would have even contemplated tolerating. The impediment Mr. Carter, is everyone else. Not Israel (understanding that Israel can and should take actions to remove propaganda from PAL TV, and make concessions while taking firmer action).

Hamas fires long-range rockets at Israel
Fri Nov 14, 2008 1:00pm EST

5:01am EST
By Abed Shana

GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas Islamists fired long-range rockets at a southern Israel city on Friday after an Israeli air strike on their Gaza stronghold in the 11th day of skirmishes that threaten a five-month-old truce.

The armed wing of the Islamist group said it fired five Grad rockets, the longest-range weapon it has used against the Jewish state. Israel said they hit Ashkelon, north of Gaza on the Mediterranean coast, with no casualties.

Israel and Hamas blamed each other for the flare-up since November 4, in which 12 Hamas militants have been killed by Israeli forces and scores of rockets fired into Israel. But both shied away from declaring an end to the Egyptian-brokered truce.

"We will continue to forcefully defend Israeli soldiers and citizens, to thwart attempts to stage attacks when we discover them," Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak said. "At the same time, if the other side wants to continue the calm we will definitely give it positive consideration."
Hamas took a similar stand.

"Up to this moment we are committed to the ceasefire," said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a Hamas leader. "Self-defense and resistance" would continue. "We are waiting for the Israelis. If they are really committed (to a truce) we have to address that frankly."

The 1960s-era Soviet-made Grad rocket has a range of 25 km (15 miles). Two of them struck Ashkelon.

Earlier, Palestinian medics said two Hamas fighters were wounded in an Israeli air strike, which a military spokesman said was in response to an earlier rocket attack.

After the air strike, Hamas said it fired eight shorter-range Qassam rockets aimed at the city of Sderot.

Two Qassams hit, causing damage to buildings, an Israeli police spokesman said. One Israeli was treated for shrapnel wounds and a number of people suffered shock.

NEXT MOVE

Israel's caretaker prime minister, Ehud Olmert, said in a statement after consultations with defense chiefs that Israel would not tolerate the rocket fire. It would continue to apply economic pressure on Hamas through border crossings.

Israel has not allowed humanitarian supplies into the Gaza Strip since November 4, when its troops raided the territory to destroy what the army described as a tunnel built by militants to kidnap Israeli soldiers.

Six Hamas gunmen were killed in the raid. Militants responded to the incursion with rocket salvoes.

Israel said the crossings would remain shut for now.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on Israel to allow urgently fuel and humanitarian aid into Gaza, where 750,000 Palestinians are in need of food.

Short of fuel, Gaza shut down its sole power plant, and rationed electricity it gets from Israel and Egypt. Some Gaza bakeries posted notices on Friday limiting the purchase of bread, although no major shortages were reported.

The EU also urged Israel to let aid supplies through.

"I am profoundly concerned about the consequences for the Gazan population of the complete closure of all Gaza crossings for deliveries of fuel and basic humanitarian assistance," External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said.

Israeli troops also killed four gunmen in a raid on Wednesday, prompting more rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza.

Hamas is in conflict with the Fatah faction of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas which holds sway in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and is negotiating with Israel on peace terms.

The rift between them widened in 2007 as Hamas took control of Gaza. Egypt brokered the Israel-Hamas truce, but Palestinian unity talks it is mediating faltered earlier this month.

Why?

When Israel speaks of Hammas or Hizbollah, they speak of killing one man or two men or a group of men who have in the past demonstrated by their actions that they wish to kill Israelis and would very much appreciate it if Israel sent them on their holy journey to heaven.

When Hamas speaks or Hizbollah speaks, they speak of killing Jews, any Jew, all the Jews, every Jew - men and women, children and old. They do not distinguish between which Jew or any Jew, just every Jew.

In the course of routing out and killing the Hamas follower or hizbollah leader, Israel is often at pains to get to them because they tend to hide among women and children and Israel tries very hard to avoid injuring non-combatants. They try.

Hamas relishes the kill. They enjoy watching as children and women are slaughtered - as long as they are Jews.

When Israel speaks of actions against Hamas, they are attacked by virtually every academic who was paying attention. When the US speaks of surgical strikes, they are also attacked by the peace loving folks who just want peace and love. We are regularly condemned for our language and choice of words. Bush is still mocked for his statement that you are either with us or against us.

Yet, if you are Hamas, you can say things that are hateful, inciting, and purposefully antagonizing, that will lead to the deaths of innocents and no one pays attention. People just ignore it and dismiss it as the words of someone who is just rambling and really does not mean it. So we are to excuse these unfortunates for their emotional outbursts, but not if it is Israel or the US.

Why is that? A double standard? That you expect the US and Israel to behave better than the Arab. Do you know how racist that belief is? Do you understand the depth of that racist sentiment? Doubtful.

Words matter. They matter if you are Hamas Cleric Wael Al-Zarad and you call for the Annihilation of the Jews. Broadcast February 28, 2008.

Words matter and must not be dismissed because some cleric utters words and argues for the complete annihilation of every Jew. No, when someone makes a threat and urges anyone who can fly a plane to fly it in to the heart of Israel and kill everyone - words matter.

3 Articles - Israel and Palestinians

Chemicals for explosives concealed in Palestinian food containers transiting open Israel-Gaza border crossings
March 5, 2008, 1:36 PM (GMT+02:00)
Israel reopened the border crossings Tuesday, March 3, for food and other essential supplies to reach the Gaza population. Wednesday, a load of cans marked “edible oil” was found to contain a chemical substance resembling glue for the manufacture of explosives used in Palestinian missiles fired against Israel. The trucks, like the 100 which crossed into Gaza Tuesday, originated in the West Bank.

An Israeli soldier killed, three injured, 10 missiles hit Sderot
March 6, 2008, 10:25 PM (GMT+02:00)
A second soldier is critically wounded. Their patrol jeep was struck by a roadside bomb outside Kissufim Wednesday night, March 5. DEBKAfile reports, that an average of five of these devices are routinely discovered and defused on the Gaza border fence day by day.
In Sderot, a Qassam rocket set a home ablaze, seriously injuring two occupants. It was the second direct hit to a Sderot home from Gaza Thurs. March 6. The town took 10 Palestinian missiles during the day.
Two Qassam missiles exploded in Sderot Thursday afternoon, one crashing into a home, leaving several people in shock.

Egyptian ambulances help Hamas smuggle fighters and weapons into Gaza
March 6, 2008, 7:44 PM (GMT+02:00)
On Sunday, March 2, Egypt re-opened Gaza’s Rafah crossing for the first time since Hamas blew up the border wall on Jan. 23 for ambulances to collect some 150 wounded Palestinians.
DEBKAfile’s military sources disclose that 27 ambulances also brought in 15-20 Hamas commando fighters, part of the of the 120-strong group rounded up in Sinai and detained on their return from advanced courses in Iran and Syria. They were permitted to cross back into Gaza with a quantity of weapons and ammunition.
Israel military sources are watching to see if the incoming ambulances are also carrying shoulder-borne anti-air missiles for shooting down Israeli helicopters and drones, which Hamas has been pressing Egypt to allow them to bring in. So far Cairo has resisted this demand but may have now relented. These sources describe the returning Hamas fighters as highly trained for guerilla warfare against conventional armies and therefore a valuable increment for Hamas’ war against Israel.
Our sources also confirm that the incoming group of trained fighters is not the first Cairo waved through the Rafah terminal. Last week, as fighting flared between Israel and Hamas, 17 were admitted to reinforce embattled Hamas. Israel officials imposed a blackout on this incident, reluctant to show the public the two-faced nature of Cairo’s policy of lenience for Hamas behind the mask of cooperation with Israel’s war on terror. The Olmert government also feared the exposure of the real state of affairs on the Gaza-Egyptian frontier notwithstanding its under-the-counter tacit acceptance of the buildup of Egyptian frontier troops to 1,500 in breach of the 1982 peace treaty.
Prime minister Olmert prefers to avoid any disclosures that might embarrass Cairo ahead of Condoleezza Rice’s visits to Israel, Ramallah and Egypt, starting Tuesday, March 4. According to our Washington sources, she will rap Palestinian knuckles for Hamas’ missile blitz, but at the same time tighten the screw on Israel to lift its siege of Gaza and reopen the border crossings. (Food and other convoys have never really stopped crossing into Gaza even under fire.)
The Mubarak government therefore is not afraid to reopen the supposedly closed Rafah terminal from time to time whenever Hamas demands essential items to fuel its ongoing war on Israel.

Hell has one more resident

It is always a good morning when you wake up and find out earth has one less inhabitant and hell has one more resident.

We may not be sure what our final sentence will be, but for a few people, we can be sure. Such is the case of the Hizballah leader in Damascus, Imad Mughniyeh.

The US wanted him for his role in terrorist attacks that killed hundreds of Americans in the 1980s: the 1983 bombings of the United States Embassy that killed over 60 people, the attack on the US Marine barracks at the Beirut airport killing over 240 military personnel; the hijacking of a T.W.A. jetliner in 1985 and the murder of Jeremy Stethem on board that plane; a series of high-profile kidnappings in the 1980s - the torture and murder of William Buckley; the kidnapping and murder of Lt. Col. William Richard Higgins on peacekeeping duty in Lebanon in 1988; in addition to the seizure of a number of other Western hostages in Beirut.

He was a very bad man. A very, very bad human, and today he is in hell enjoying a much deserved very close and personal relationship with Satan. Couldn't happen to a more evil human.

UPDATE: Hell has a few more residents as of 3/13/08:
The long-wanted Bethlehem chief Mohammed Shehadeh was killed, along with Imad Kemal, Issa Marzoura and Fatah-al Aqsa Brigades operative Ahmed Balful, by an undercover Israeli force in Bethlehem Wednesday. They were sought for years for orchestrating major mass-murder attacks in Israel between 2001and 2004.

I pray these individuals enjoy their personal relationship with Satan and each day brings new wonders for them and to them.
