I don't see the polls showing this yet - with a favorable rating still in the good range, but - he has lost 10-15% of Democrats who find him too extreme. Every Republican and Conservative who didn't vote because McCain put them to sleep, would vote, and nearly all Republicans who supported Obama wouldn't.
He would lose.
This administration may well go down as one of the most farcical in American history.
AND THAT is the worst thing that could happen - for millions upon millions of people view weakness as a sign of failure and that will prompt more attacks, will solidify our decline, will ensure world chaos as the US loses more control.
