Obama Signaled Early That He Was Unlikely To Choose Ex-Rival

MOLINE, Ill., Aug. 25 -- In a private meeting with Sen. Barack Obama after she conceded the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton made a request: that he consider her for his vice presidential running mate, but not put her through the charade of being vetted if he was not serious.

Obama told Clinton then it was unlikely he would choose her, people familiar with the conversation said. Obama did not want to lead her on and, after campaigning against her for more than a year, already had a sense that their pairing would not be the right fit.

What is curious about this article is really nothing. Kornblut is taking dictation from the Obama campaign for her articles. She is a mouthpiece for the Obama campaign.

Why?

We are now dealing with Biden, not HIllary.

Why bring Hillary up again?

Because, the Obama campaign knows that many of her supporters are upset and disillusioned, and more importantly, they are mad that their candidate was not even considered for the VP slot.

The Obama campaign, as nearly every political campaign / figure understands, people may be mad, but if the reasoning makes sense to them, they will shed some of their anger, and consider the options created by whatever changes had occurred that invoked their anger.

Along comes Kornblut telling anyone who can read, that Obama and Hillary had this issue sorted out from the very beginning, and Hillary was aware of Obama's position on a VP - it would never be her. If Hillary or her posse complain or whine, they will now look like sore losers and instigators of division.

The Obama camp is making an end run around their remaining criticism of his actions in ignoring Hillary.

Kornblut was their mouthpiece to achieve that goal. She must believe Obamessiah is our Savior, to go so far out on the ledge, letting it be known how much of a paid professional she really is ... she is betting the house that Obama wins.
