Negotiations

I was sitting here, reading an article in which Obamessiah reiterated his intention to negotiate with Iran, and I started thinking about the idea of negotiation.

First, the US (Bush) is already negotiating. I heard Obamessiah speak a week ago and he offered his July 4th view of negotiations with Iran - they were exactly the policy the US was ALREADY engaging in MINUS the threat of force.

Here's the question - if two people, offer the same plan, how do you claim one is more willing to talk than the other?

Prime Minister Chamberlain and the French leader Dalladier, went to Germany, three times, to speak to Adolph Hitler.

I knew someone once who argued: Chamberlain and Dalladier knew what they were doing - they were stalling for time while they rebuilt their military (hence - negotiations were a good thing).

The problem with that one aspect of historical revisionism is - there is no evidence that Britain began rearming during Chamberlain's guardianship of 10 Downing. As for the French, they disarmed, but for their impenetrable bunker system. His revisionist view is wholly inaccurate and supported by no scholarship nor evidence.

When negotiation is the end in itself, it always fails. It never prevails.
When negotiation does not include the potential for a massive military assault, IT ALWAYS fails.

It can be argued that Hitler, after meeting with the British and French, realized his dream was about to come true - no one would stand in his way, for neither country threatened him, they simply negotiated with him.

Hitler of course ignored everything in the negotiations, while the British and French honestly believed they had prevailed.

There are audio recordings of Chamberlain speaking about Herr Hitler's actions in Poland and how stunned Britain was and how unless Germany pulled out, there would be a state of war ... the audio exists. Go find it. Listen to it. Listen to Chamberlain and it all becomes clear how much Britain expected the negotiations to actually bear fruit and how stunned Chamberlain was when Herr Hitler failed to keep up his end.

IRAN never intends to keep its end. NEVER. No carrots can assuage their purpose and goal. They are committed. By negotiating with Iran, senator Obamessiah, you make the United States look like a fool to Iran and their mullahs, you make us look weak to the Arab world. You do more damage to the United States than any war the US could get into in Iran. When you are perceived of as weak - they will strike out in new areas, pushing the envelope, while you talk.

Stop talking. Not everyone on earth cares about talking.

I am reminded of the scene from Independence Day when the president goes up to the glass barrier, behind which is an operating room where an alien has just killed all the scientists. The president has a conversation with the alien and asks whether we can compromise, talk, negotiate, and the president asks what do aliens want from humans? The response is priceless - to die.

Sometimes.
