UN, Iraq, and Useless Nations - War Crimes

I do not wish to explicate this issue but I will spend 30 lines or so.

1) The UN makes international law - NOT the bloody idiots.
2) EVEN if you don't like the law, they make it - NOT THE bloody IDIOTS.
3) If they (UN) said that anyone who wore green violated international law - then anyone who wore green would violate international law.
4) If Rwanda was a genocide (and from a previous post you know my feeling on that) and the UN said it wasn't - THEN IT WASN'T.
5) If Uganda invaded Rwanda ILLEGALLY and then Uganda called the UN to take over and the UN took over and gave Uganda a big hug and thanked them - UGANDA cannot be tried for war crimes because the UN just absolved Uganda of any crime when it took over. I understand this does not sit well, but tough bullcrap.

In the case of Iraq - the US has a United Nations mandate for its presence and its troops - until December 31, 2008. THE UN has recognized the US action as legitimate through its acceptance of and explicit mandate for US troops in Iraq.

So you cannot be tried for war crimes for invading Iraq or for occupying Iraq.

I suppose you could come back at the US for crimes committed by troops in Iraq ... except the US is not party to that section of the treaty, and setting that fact aside, when the US went to the UN to accept the MANDATE to be in Iraq, guess what the UN gave to the US - absolution!!! A written statement to that effect. Not a blank check to commit crimes, but absent exigent circumstances - all crimes committed would be tried by US courts, and in exigent circumstances, by Iraqi courts. We have as yet not entered the exigent circumstances category. In part, due to the treaty the US signed with the Iraqi government over trials and punishment of US soldiers. Iraq recognizes the US right to try its soldiers for crimes. NO WHERE IS THE HAGUE MENTIONED!!!

So - all the munchkins who scream and yell about war crimes - you know what you can do to yourself!

Seriously, just because someone says it isn't a war crime doesn't mean it isn't. Yes, but remember #1 and #2. Now, go back to doing, what was implied above!
