I just finished reading an article in the Los Angeles Times that included this nugget - "If you have an R in front of your name, you better run scared," said Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, who says the party will do well if it holds its losses to three or four seats.
There are times I am flummoxed, and this happens to be one of those years.
The American people are NOT liberal nor are they leftists on social / cultural issues. The American people are quite conservative on foreign issues. Even liberals are conservative on some issues, even if they pretend otherwise.
It should not be too difficult to hold on to seats, to win even.
Yet let these retardicans at it and they will lose. It seems that no matter what, they sought out the losing formula and refuse to budge from the sinking ship.
If God were to tell them the secret to winning, they would fail to get it right, and instead, they will be partly responsible for the Democratic party takeover of congress, again.
Get off your asses and I do not mean turn further to the right, that will not work. Rather, pick five core principles and stick with them, even if you lose - stick with them. Democrats change with the wind direction. Whether you win or lose the people will respect you for sticking to your principles and eventually they will elect you.
A lot more respectable than abandoning the president on Iraq, when he was correct, just because it seemed like the thing to do.
Retardicans will be responsible (in part) for the havoc the Democrats inflict in the next five years.
