University of Toledo - Discrimination

The Associate Vice President of Human Resources for the University of Toledo, wrote to the local newspaper in response to articles/columns written by the paper concerning discriminatory treatment toward homosexuals.

She took exception to the argument presented by the paper - that homosexual discrimination was the new civil rights movement. That homosexuals who face discrimination for their lifestyle are civil rights victims.

She was a little upset and took exception at their use of civil rights in the argument for homosexuals. She did not believe that someone who chose the homosexual lifestyle was a civil rights victim, because they could wake up tomorrow and act as if they were not homosexual - she could not act like she was white. She is a black woman.

She was fired for expressing her opinion.
