NEW YORK – To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, here we go again.
The revelation that millions of people who saw the inauguration of President Barack Obama were actually listening to recorded music instead of the actual performance of the Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman-led quartet has led to comparisons of lip-synching (though, in this case, might the correct term be hand-synching?) and drawn comparisons to other infamous cases, including Ashlee Simpson's "Saturday Night Live" debacle and perhaps music's most famous pantomimes, Milli Vanilli.

THIS is a non-issue. However, in the decades to follow, it may be said that it was an omen of things to follow, when before it began it was fake ... the promises, the cabinet appointees, the lack of transparency ... it is not a single issue, not the pre-recorded music - as explained, the temperatures would have made the notes difficult and the instruments less perfect in their production. Rather, it is the flubbed oath, re-taking the oath, no Bible, the press corps was not allowed in (just a select couple), the miserable start with the cabinet - more taxes problems than customers to H&R Block, Bill Richardson - before he even began, he stopped - corruption has filled his shoes in New Mexico. Bill didn't release all the names of donors, despite the fact some are high up officials in foreign governments - the same governments Hillary will have to deal with.
Promises broken - the very essence of his campaign - change, no lobbyists - and he broke that promise.
No single event, no single act - it is the sum total of all he has flubbed up that is so disappointing - not that I expected more - one should never expect a politician to follow through - and his STIMULUS package - to give billions to people who pay no federal taxes ... and that stimulates what?
Sad.
