Multiple Choice Question:
1. Palestinians claim Israel purposely targets innocent civilians. Palestinians claim Israel purposely kills women and children. Palestinians claim Israel targets their homes and their schools. These claims are decades old and raised every time anything occurs in gaza or the West bank. You are the commander of the Palestinian hamas military wing and have in your possession 100 rockets and various deadly weapons. Where would you put these weapons, given the facts as stated above:
a) as far from civilian areas as possible
b) as far from residential areas as possible
c) in a residential neighborhood where innocent people will be milling about
d) next to a private residence where women and children will be living.
e) a and b
The answer in a moment.
There are over a million people located in the area known as Ghazza. The people who live there, the vast majority of them, only want to live in peace and safety. The few who control Ghazza, seek death and destruction. To that end, the men who control Ghazza, ensure that death will rain down upon the civilian population, in order to use the deaths as propaganda.
The one million men, women, and children deserve peace and security. These people deserve to go to bed at night without fear of bombs or missiles, gun shots or grenades - they deserve to live. These people deserve to wake up in the morning and have their children play in the yards and in the fields, without fear of men with guns taking them or shooting them dead where they play. These people deserve to go about their lives without being used as propaganda tools by the evil men who now control Ghazza.
How the people of Ghazza came to permit the evil men to take control has more to do with corruption within Fattah, Arafat, and the social networking set up by Hamas - and less to do with the people and what they want.
To put a rocket launch site in a residential neighborhood, a school, a hospital, a police station - and then wonder why the neighborhood was bombed ... defies human logic. As is clear from the video, the precision was spectacular - it avoided the homes. No surrounding structures were seriously damaged (although one could expect windows or debris to be thrown about).
The blame lies with Hamas - who desire death, who believe their own propaganda - that Israel is weak and will fall if they keep up their rocket barrage. They have brought death and destruction upon the people of Ghazza. They deserve what they seek to inflict upon everyone else.
